At the beginning of the 21st century, with the rapid expansion of the steel, chemical and non-ferrous metal industries, the lime industry ushered in a good development opportunity. Lime, as an indispensable basic material in the national economy, is widely used in many fields such as metallurgy, building materials, chemical industry, electricity and environmental protection. In particular, increasingly stringent environmental protection standards have opened up new markets for flue gas desulfurization and industrial wastewater treatment for lime companies, and promoted the innovation and upgrading of industry technology.
Traditional lime production methods, such as ordinary vertical kilns, are gradually being eliminated due to their inefficiency and high pollution. They are replaced by mechanized vertical kilns and rotary kilns. Among them, the rotary kiln has become the preferred choice of the steel industry with its advantages of high efficiency, high quality, high automation and environmental protection. However, the existing lime kilns generally have the problem of limited applicability of raw materials, resulting in a large amount of underutilized small-size limestone resources being wasted.
Henan Zhengkuang Machinery Co., Ltd. came into being and launched an innovative lime production line aimed at overcoming the limitations of existing technologies and achieving effective utilization of resources. The production line consists of four key parts: raw material storage and transportation system, limestone calcining system, finished product conveying system and flue gas treatment system.
1. Raw material storage and transportation system
Zhengkuang Machinery's production line is optimized from the source, capable of handling limestone raw materials with a wider range of particle sizes, ranging from 10 to 50 mm, ensuring the diversity and flexibility of raw materials. Through effective loading, screening and conveying mechanisms, the raw materials are accurately measured and sent to the preheater, while the powder under the screen is properly handled to avoid resource waste.
2. Limestone calcining system
The core calcining process consists of a vertical preheater, a rotary kiln and a vertical cooler, with an output of up to 1,200 tons/day. The limestone is preheated to more than 1,000°C in the preheater, and after partial decomposition, it enters the rotary kiln for high-temperature calcination. The calcined lime is quickly cooled in the cooler, and the secondary air generated during the cooling process is recycled again, improving energy efficiency.
3. Finished product conveying system
The cooled finished lime is sent to the finished product warehouse through a series of conveying equipment for subsequent packaging and transportation. Zhengkuang Machinery's production line is equipped with a flexible silo system that can store finished lime of different particle sizes according to different customer needs, ensuring a smooth supply chain.
4. Flue gas treatment system
Environmental protection is a key factor that cannot be ignored in modern industry. The flue gas generated by the rotary kiln is treated by a preheater and multi-stage dust removal, and finally reaches an emission standard of less than 30mg/m³, significantly reducing the impact on the environment. In addition, the system is also equipped with a cold air control system to protect the dust removal equipment from high temperature damage.
